Four-star linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield out of (Lincolnton, NC) where he plays high school football at Lincolnton High School, announced on his Twitter page that he'll be back on the Hurricanes campus this week.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound four-star linebacker will be in Coral Gables on Friday morning, he announced on his Twitter page that he is excited to be back on the Hurricanes campus.
"NEXT STOP: WE'RE BACK AT THE U @CanesFootball FRIDAY APRIL 3RD !! CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACK IN CORAL GABLES," said the North Carolina linebacker.
Recently he narrowed his list to Miami, Kentucky, Oregon, Georgia, and Indiana. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Mayfield is projected to land at Georgia with a 23.3% chance to land him.
Mayfield has official visits locked in with Miami, Kentucky, Georgia, Indiana, and Oregon.
The Canes are firmly in the mix as this decision making process starts to take shape. Miami is looking for their 8th commitment in the 2027 high school cycle.
