Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes coaching staff were notified Saturday afternoon that three-star 2027 safety Jeremiah Proctor has released his top five, and Miami made the cut.
Joining the Hurricanes are Florida State, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound safety from Gainesville, GA, has cut his list of top schools, leaving out offers from BYU, Boston College, Colorado, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, and Purdue, among others.
Miami is the newest team in the mix, having offered him on May 6. To have Miami in his top five, just four days after the offer.
Proctor is set to visit Tennessee (May 21), Florida State (June 5), Pittsburgh (June 11), and will finish out his summer visits at Kentucky (June 19). Miami currently doesn't have a visit set up for him.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he currently ranks as the No. 57 safety in the country, along with being the No. 598 player in the 2027 class, and the 70th best player to come out of Georgia.
Proctor currently attends Gainesville High School, where he led his team to a 12-3 record, 5-1 in his region. During his junior season, he racked up a total of 22 tackles, one interception, two pass deflections, and 3.2 tackles per game.
