Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes coaching staff were notified Friday afternoon that four-star 2027 safety Jaylen Scott has released his top five, and Miami made the cut.

Joining the Hurricanes are Florida State, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

Scott is a 6-foot, 165-pound safety out of Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama. Despite playing in Alabama, the Crimson Tide did not make his final list.

His offer sheet is loaded. Scott holds offers from Miami, Oklahoma, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, and several others. But never received one from Alabama.

Scott is ranked as a top-120 prospect in the 2027 class, coming in at No. 113 nationally, the No. 10 safety, and the No. 4 player in Alabama.

As a junior, he put up big numbers with 104 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 5 interceptions, and 15 pass breakups.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Oklahoma is the heavy favorite, holding a 95% prediction to land Scott. For now.
