Kevin Thomas from Fort Lauderdale, is now available again, and Jai Lucas will definitely be interested since Thomas put the Hurricanes in his final choices, before committing to LSU.

On Saturday morning, Thomas shared on social media that he had asked for and got released from his National Letter of Intent with the LSU Tigers, which he signed in October. He’s a 6-foot-6 small guard from the class of 2026.

Thomas, who suits up for Montverde Academy (FL), is ranked No. 74 overall, No. 31 among small forwards, and No. 15 in Florida in the 247Sports 2026 Composite Rankings.

On the AAU circuit, he recently joined SOH Elite (Under Armour), where he’s averaged 11.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and tallied 18 steals over 13 games.

Jai Lucas and the Hurricanes coaching staff has a decision to make to get involved here. While nothing's set in stone, it looks like things are wide open for the four-star prospect.

Top end talent is always welcome. That said, don't be shocked if he ends up back at LSU. If he was willing to sign with McMahon, knowing that dude was on his way out, he may be perfectly fine with squeezing some extra money out of Wade and coming back.
