@DMoney was able to catch up with some of Miami's 2026 D-Line recruits this weekend and here's what they had to say on their official visits:

KESHAWN STANCIL (NC) , DT, UNCOMMITED

How he feels after his OV to Miami:

"I've only been on two visits so far but this has been the best one and I don't think that's gonna change. That's Miami man, good coaching, good culture."

"Hayden Lowe was my player host and we had some fun, really enjoyed getting to be myself."

"Everytime I come out here the relationship gets stronger and stronger so this weekend it was like that plus ten. I really enjoy Miami alot."

How it felt when Miami visited him:

"It was good, like I'm out there practicing and being coached by coach [Damione Lewis], so I really enjoyed that. Obviously they coached me up on some things I could improve with so that knowledge has sat with me and I've been working on it ever since."

Where Miami stands in his recruiting process:

"[Miami's] pretty high man, that's all I can say right now and that recruiting proccess might be earlier than I thought."

DANIEL NORMAN (FL), DE, UNCOMMITED

On setting his OV to Miami:

"So Miami wasn't really a contact like that until coach [Jason Taylor] came to practice and set everything straight. And I said yes immediately as soon as he said OV."

On where Miami stands after his visit:

"They set the bar high for sure. As I said the coaching staff really stood out to me and not only is Miami a great place to stay, its close to home so I know my mom would love that."

Plan on his remaining visits and his commitment timeline:

"I plan on taking the visits (UCLA, Oklahoma, Colorado) as its all just a process and see who stands out the most."

"I'll probably make a decision before the season."

DEANTHONY LAFAYETTE (FL), DE, UNCOMMITED

Takeaways from his visit:

"They outdid themselves honestly, the whole weekend was beautiful and they showed me alot of things that would entice me to come here."

"Coach Taylor and Cristobal are great guys and they made an effort to have a more personal relationship with me."

"I'm from Orlando like this place is different I can't lie, it's a beautiful city and I love to be here."

On how Miami wants to use him:

"They like to see me on the defense being a very explosive and physical player and for them to see that it's pretty big. They see me as a rush in on the boundary side."

On his remaining visits:

"June 13-15 I'll be at LSU and then 20-22 I'll be at Oklahoma, but Miami is making it a tight race."

Just met Stancil's dad...he is a delivery driver for a wine distributor in central NC that I buy wine from. Super nice guy. Very proud of his son and we chatted about the recruiting process, etc. Said his son is a mama's boy and Clemson was closer than Georgia or Miami. Per dad Stancil is 6' 4" 270 right now.

Can't be too mad at this. Comfort & familiarity wins out sometimes. If he came here he'd get homesick and transfer out anyways.

Cant hate on that, good luck to the kid

Just to add...Dad said they were very grateful for the generous NIL offer from Miami and the recruiting experience but just too far from home for the young man.
