What to expect as a fan tomorrow night

Our fans don't realize how bad VT is this year... if we lose to them it will be by a little bit.. Honestly we should win

Yes, we should.

This illustrates the core reason for fan dissatisfaction, IMO. There is a big gap between what "should" and what we "expect" to happen. We aren't getting things done that are very doable.

1. VT to consistently being in 3rd and short after being able to establish run with 3 man front and LB's 7 yards off ball
2. Their 6'6 TE will be our worst nightmare and they will find him in the soft spots in our zone coverage frequently
3. Their receivers will run a significant amount of crossing patterns and will often be wide open
4. Do not be surprised if they are in the 37-40 minute range in TOP
5. Expect to want to throw your remote at the TV and Art Kehoe as our OL will be confused all night long. Will get progressively worse as the game goes along
6. Kaaya will be under constant pressure and will have a Louisville feel to him and his comfort with this feet moving all night long
7. Lots of bubble screens to "neutralize" their heavy blitzing
8. We will see an impact of not having a true FB
9. Special teams will be a part of the game where VT will make a play
10. 3rd down conversation rate will continue to be very low
11. Forecasting our tackling to be worse than usual with the conditions and it won't appear to impact VT one bit

Enjoy the 3.5 hour headache fellas as we will come out flat like deer in the headlights as "Enter Sandman" will end the game before it even starts

Sounds about right

#3 is the safest bet on the board. I'm expecting multiple 3rd down conversions from shallow crossing routes and the WR/TE having 4637463737 YAC

you forgot to add the post game presser quotes

Starts from the top
Have to execute
We are not finishing
Have to get better
have to get off the field on third down
Wasn't an easy environment to play in
Offense needs to control the clock better
Its still a tournament

OP pretty much spot on. Unfortunately. I have no faith in our coaches abilities to coach and inspire this team to win in this spot. None. I will never root for us to lose. But, this isht is totally predictable, maddening, and depressing all at the same time

VT's 4th ranked 3rd down defense vs our 124th ranked 3rd down offense. The matchup to watch.

Every betting site I frequent has us winning..

Vag Tech is really terrible this year and completely decimated by injury. UM should roll them, and Folden's fanatics will be fresher than a Summer's Eve ******.

Miami should win this game. LOTS more talent on this Miami team than the VT team. VT is not a good football team.

Miami has more talent than 99% of the teams that it loses to under Golden.

Oh yeah.......The Cloud and prime time night games......aint that a Beeeyatch.

Please, for the love of God, don't let this come to pass!
National TV embarrassment not just the pain of watching our beloved Canes play at such a disgraceful level.
Leave the coaches home and just let the kids ball out. We'd be better off.

GO CANES!!!!! PLEASE

The games have become increasingly hard to watch, from a football perspective. VT sucks, this loss should really hit home.

Afterwards Al Golden will speak of how great VT is and give some obscure statistics that he no doubt looked up ahead of time like:
"Duke started the ACC 0-2 last year and won the coastal." or
"Were 1-3 in the ACC, but only 1-2 in the coastal," as if it makes a difference.

No way the players sport their "Ignore the Banner" T's after this one. Thats what i expect from this game.
