Sad to hear but we now have good depth
What Gattis did at Michigan was use 2 tight ends together, but one was primarily blocking and the other was primarily catching. Losing Mallory hurts our depth for a pass catching TE unless Skinner or Brantley can be that 2nd guy. But you are absolutely correct that the overall depth is there and if Mamarelli Is that guy as a blocking TE, we will have a very successful running game next year, especially in short yardage.

This is normally how two tight end sets are deployed. The second te is almost always a block first guy. Especially if you’re going with heavy, goal line personnel.

May be goofy but stuff like this gives me chills. No other school has this environment. It’s just different. 3 nfl hall of famers on a practice field for a random Thursday spring practice. These other fan bases can kiss my *** 🤣

Well at Notre Dame you can see 5 HOFers but you have to go to the "all white" cemetery. Same place as 99% of their titles.
