Luke Nickel who took his team to the title playing for Cam Newton's program. The Miami commitment is not considered to be among the top-end of the 2025 quarterbacks at this stage but Rivals exclusively rates him as a blue-chip recruit at this time and the last six months have potentially proven that even we're behind in this evaluation.

Nickel has done nothing but win since August. He led Milton (Ga.) High School to the state championship in the state of Georgia's highest classification before winning the tournament on Sunday. In that junior campaign, he threw for nearly 4,000 yards and 39 touchdowns against five interceptions, while completing 66 percent of his attempts along the way. He added a half-dozen rushing scores in the run, showing enough movement skills as required by the modern asks at the position....

Was watching 247 show this morning and they literally are hoping he takes more visits to SEC schools although he came out during the 7v7 and said he's locked in with Miami and is happy with the relationship between Coach Dawson and Cristobal. Crazy lol

If you watch Locked on Canes on YouTube with Alex Donno he had Nickel on the show and he was pretty adamant about sticking with Miami but 247 on YouTube really was bringing up other schools

If a HS player only played HS ball and some winter/spring sport but didn't do any camps or 7v7, will that negatively impact their ranking since they're not "visible" to the recruiting scouts?

I'm just thinking if a kid who had very good traits, winner at the HS level and athletic in multiple sports. Would he be undervalued and thus a gem because 247/Rivals aren't getting eyes to "properly evaluate" him.
