was curious and decided to take a look at DJU in depth and FSUs wide receiver room. I was pretty surprised with what I found.

While the 2023 seminoles were one of the most experienced teams entering 2023, the same can't be said for the 2024 squad. Starters all over the offense are gone. Jordan Travis, Trey Benson, Jaheim Bell, Johnny Wilson, and Keon Coleman won't be wearing the garnet and gold this year. This FSU QB and WR room will look far different this year. Almost every position group on offense is a downgrade compared to last year. Mike Norvell landed former Clemson and Oregon State QB DJ Uiagalelei as his starting QB, but he has nowhere near the production of Jordan Travis. Look at their stats against ranked and comparable Top 25 opponents:

Ultimately, the theory for DJU is that with far better talent than he had at Oregon State, and with Mike Norvell's coaching, he'll finally reach his potential. However, a big red flag for this FSU team is lack of production/experience in the WR room. It's true that these WRs were behind some good to great players on the two deep, but the lack of production is concerning as shown below:

To give you an idea, Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George, on their own, have more production than FSUs entire returning WR room combined, and by a large degree as well. Isaiah Horton had better stats last year than all the above FSU WRs except Ja'khi Douglas. You've got an average to sometimes above average QB working with a very inexperienced WR room. That's a recipe for disaster imho. Could some of these guys ball out, sure. Many were highly rated recruits. However, I know that if this was our returning WR room Bud Elliot would've written ten articles on how catastrophic it is for us.

They do return an experienced OL (TBD on how good they actually are; Jordan Travis was an escape artist and made that entire O look better than it was) and have two really good RBs in Roydell and Toafili, but I think the issues at QB and WR are going to be glaring.
