Again, Im not defending Diaz but I think there is a qualitative difference between a first time HC who lost to Butch Davis by a TD and later got shut out in a bowl game by a 10 win Louisiana Tech team ; and a 8.5 million per year coach on his third HC gig getting blown out 4 games into the season by Middle Tennessee State. MTSU easily could have dropped a 50 burger on UM but chose not to.

As a result of the losses, Diaz ended up scrapping everything he believed about offense and hired a spread O specialist that immediately resulted in back to back years of a top 25 offense. Anyone who knows anything about Mario knows he isn't going to change anything about his football philosophy.

The most ironic thing about the banner flyers was the advent of the idea was a banner asking to fire Butch, who has since become a God here. But all of that is lost on these troglodytes.
