I think Billy is already cooked and anything less than 8 wins this season solidifies that. His fate is cemented it just has dried yet so there’s some pliability to it but not much. Florida will also continue to have resources put into the program since they’re in the SEC and are a public university.
To @Empirical Cane ‘s point the pressure is on Mario because to many insiders points, there ain’t another coach who is going to be getting the funding and the support Mario currently has. So if he fails this season (doubly so since he has Ward) then the cement truck will be called in. No, he won’t be fired but the funds and the backing start to dry up quickly meaning so does the recruiting and we continue to be a 7-5 program.
