@ThomasM if you go back and look the offense was still chucking it around in the GT game and UNC game, we had nearly 500 yards of offense in UnC game, and like 468 vs. GT, BUT our turnovers really cost us in both. So we come home against Clemson has to start Emory, so game plan was vanilla. Then we bring TVD back for UVA, and he starts chucking INTs.

What would you do in this case? Go more wide open? Or rely more on the defense against teams that struggle to score like N.C.State? Even pretty conservative vs. N. C. State TVD still threw basic pics.

Im not talking about the picks. Im talking about Dawson's playcalling of run up middle + WR tunnel screen as 50% of play calls for middle of season which killed us
That is the result of a QB who was struggling heavily. The only thing that kept us in those games were our defense, ability to run and some athletic plays by a couple of the WRs. A single read offense isn’t going to get it done against a zone. Go back to the 3rd down before the blocked kick. They dropped into a zone. One read and scramble throw. BC played man most of the first half. Even when they did he missed throws today.

And to his defense he has been plenty banged up which didn’t help matters either

Chaney is an injury magnet. Would have loved to see him here healthy. Hate to lose any player, but hopefully he has a similar turnaround to Benson if he does.
