Gus is like an old clown uncle, and without a Cam Newton type QB he will be inconsistent. Heupel was unappreciated by UCF fans because they loved Frost so much and Frost was a more dynamic and more aggressive play caller than Heupel. He had a killer instinct. Frost just had a great feel for the players and plays with more vertical attacking and usage of the entire field where as Heupel tends to play wide with a shorter passing game and safe vertical throws. Both are good, but Frost imo can be super special with FL type talent.

Frost was also building a beast team with recruiting. Heupel isn’t a recruiter, but his style will attract talent
Didn’t Heupel’s record get worse each year @ UCF? Wasn’t much of a recruiter there either from the look of their current upperclassmen.

This is where Cristobal was supposed to make the key difference. Keep up Lashlees air attack but bring physicality to short yardage. Instead we get the 1940s Whizzer White offense.

"Keep up Lashlees air attack but bring physicality to short yardage"

That would be ideal.
