Do we know how he is as a teacher? I think a lot of times the best coaches weren’t the most naturally gifted players. They’re guys like Hartline and what I think will be Hankerson- who had to work harder to get to even. I think Jerry Rice would’ve been a great teacher if he wanted to coach.

True to an extent but look at aTm. They have a staph (not staff) of recruiters, loaded up with talent and can’t win. You have to have some guys who can coach as well.

I need to know who he’s got coaching the trenches. If I were him I’d get teachers like Kul and Simpson at those spots and a recruiter DC.

Unless Deion gets bona fide recruiter/developer coaches for the trenches, he’s going to look like us in reverse. At least up until now. Mario needs do the same at the skills positions like Deion does in the trenches. Mario has a much more solid base and foundation with his backing and where UM...

Let’s see how he does against us and others in the trenches. I’ve felt he would do well with DB’s and I can see WR’s - really the skills positions. There’s more to it than that though. If he starts pulling Mauigoa’s too then it’s far more significant.
