Miami landed one of the best pure football players in the class with the commitment of Leo (IN) TE Brock Schott. The composite four-star chose Miami over Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame.

As I first reported ten days ago in the Bank, Miami has prioritized Schott and took the lead in recent weeks.

- The Canes are in a strong position with Indiana TE Brock Schott. Like Elija Lofton, who is currently standing out on Greentree, Schott (6’3, 215) is one of the best overall football players in the nation. He caught 35 passes for 743 yards and six TDs while making 67 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 19 sacks. He also plays basketball. Ohio State is in the competition, but Miami is quietly confident in this one after prioritizing Schott as a major priority talent.

On his unofficial visit to Miami earlier this month, Schott measured at 6'3.5, 225 pounds and impressed the staff with his growth potential. He also owns a verified 4.58 forty and a 34-inch vertical jump. As a junior, he caught 35 balls for 743 yards and 6 TDs while racking up 67 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 19 sacks on defense. Several high-major schools have also offered him on defense.

Miami coaches have compared Schott to freshman TE Elija Lofton, a "do-it-all War Daddy" who has been the breakout player of spring. Schott also plays basketball.

Schott is the 7th commit of the Class of 2025 and the 6th composite four-star player. His original player profile thread is available here:
