Defensive Tackle Weight

Yeah that’s usually how statistics work. Your numbers are usually really good against bad teams and not as good against good teams.

Now there’s outliers. If you get out to a big lead, you tend to focus more on stopping the big play and you’ll allow an opponent to drain the clock with running plays like the BC game. Or like the Rutgers game where we literally were so short handed on the defensive line that we had to play a three man front with two freshmen.

UNC abused us. Louisville had a good game. Nobody else really did anything. If you consider the average offense averaged 4.5 yards per carry and our defense averaged 3.3 for the season.
QB's in the run game are a thing. Miami's been gashed by them for decades

They did a great job keeping Travis from going crazy on the ground in a tight game. Castellanos got a bunch of yards but like I said, they were down pretty big pretty early and Miami wasn’t quite as concerned with his running.

The over reliance on man defense has killed us against running quarterbacks in the past. That and a lot of times we’d over respect some glorified running back’s passing ability instead of keying on what he really wanted to do, run the ball. Mark D’Onofrio playing cover 2 with two deep safeties against Georgia Tech is probably the most egregious example.

Uga definitely arent getting smaller on the dline. I dont know who he was speaking too but if they were college coaches that lying son of a b*tch was keeping hithem off his scent.

This is the last 2 classes and they had to get beat out for big guys liek Scott and jonees for us or they would be on them as well.

LBS may have gotten slightly smaller...but THATS BECAUSE LBS ON THE WHOLE NATIONWIDE ARE GETTING SMALLER FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL...not ome decision made by Kirby.

On a yearly basis he tries to hoard all the dl above 320...

It was a GA high school coaching clinic

I thought the same thing as far as his actions are the opposite but they've had plenty of success with guys in the mold of 6'4 6'5 and 290-305 range.

They have got somewhat smaller. At that end position they are using guys in the 270-280s. Travon walker played that spot when he was there. They used to just use 3 300+ monsters up front

Comparing NFL to college doesn’t make sense. Those “under 320 pounders” in the league are the elite of the elite. They are NFL starters for a reason. When you’re talking college rosters you do what you gotta do against whatever scheme you’re playing against that week/season. Only a few teams have guys that can pass rush and hold up against the run, at the level a bottom tier NFL DT can.

That’s actually not true; UGA have never just had “3 300+ monsters” on their 3-4 DL. Lol

They run w/ a DE typically between 260-280, a NT typically between 300-350 lbs, & a DT typically between 295-305 lbs. That’s Kirby’s system, & recruits as such. If Edge players can’t get to the 260+ range, they either get weeded out, minimum PT, or more commonly shifted to LB as an Rush End Specialist.

So let me get this straight;

1. U respond to @gogeta4 who was talking about UGA not getting smaller as he post their recruits, & u’re telling me “they” was about Alabama? Is that what u’re going to go w/?

2. OK, so when did Trevon Walker play for Alabama?

Lol; let me guess; u’re the ghost writer for Drake on “The Heart 6”, huh? I’m sure u planted all that UGA rhetoric to bait me in to be fooled in to believing this was about UGA, when this entire time, U was talking about Bama.

****, good one bro. That’s diabolical, af.

Ninja u wasn’t replying to the video, u was DIRECTLY replying to Gogeta & his take on UGA’s player, & he was replying to a UGA post. Yo goofy *** brought up Walker as one of the 300 lbs that was on the DL to justify that UGA “slightly got smaller.” Not one **** was talking about Bama.

Don’t be a Drake homie, u looking real goofy right now…well, again.
