the story:

Alex Figueroa grew up on a secret military base with his military parents. On a sunny summer day there was a terrible accident on the base and little Alex was badly injured. The scientist that caused the accident was devastated after he saw what happened to Alex and spent the next 10 years working on Alex. He replaced most of his body with top secret robotics parts... after 10 years of this ..

not much of you Alex was left.. thats why not he simply goes by...

Massive human being. The amount of guys golden will put in the NFL will be staggering.

Amen. What he did at Temple given what he had to work with was astounding. Put a guy like Golden in a program like ours, with a recruiting pedigree like ours and the sky is the limit.

In the near present, the NCAA is on the verge of collapse due to financial ruin and unchecked crime, aka the SEC. The mega-corporation University of Miami (The U) enters into a contract with the league to restore its dynasty status. The U plans to demolish the NCAA and redevelop it as a high-end utopia. To address the league's crime, The U tests several projects to engineer robotic linebackers. During a presentation of a project spearheaded by the senior president, Randy Shannon, the LB-3 enforcement 'backer (aka the Cook) malfunctions and kills all hopes of winning. With the NCAA season scheduled to begin within months, the U's Chairman (Donna Shalala) immediately advances an alternative put forth by an ambitious executive named Al Golden. Golden calls his cyborg project "Figatron."
