That senior season killed Marino draft stock. He had 17TDs 22INTs and supposedly was a coke head. It all worked out in the end for him though.

You don't know if he can recruit or not though. Some of you guys really overthink position coaches and get two invested in something you have no idea if it will work out or not. Big name coaches can fail and no name coaches can succeed, it's best to just let it play out.

Coach 1st and recruiter 2nd when it comes to DB coaches, ideally you want both but if you had to choose give me the technician who can develop talent.

Any college coach with the ability to take a lateral move to the NFL should jump at it. It might be a dip in pay but the schedule is much better and you don't have to deal with all the BS, you can just coach. It's why Jeff Hafley took a massive decrease in pay to go be a DC in Green Bay
