Miami Metro area has a larger population than ALL of South Carolina. South Florida (Tampa down to Miami) has a population almost as big as ALL of North Carolina and bigger than ALL of Virginia. Carriage fees are important but so are households/viewers.

ACC won't add any value once it dissolves. It could still bring meaningful revenue to the area as a 2nd tier conference though.

I have no idea how the media companies value market vs having a competitive team. But if Pitt is more valuable then drop NCSt and if Syracuse is more valuable then drop VT. Either way, there's lots of valuable media markets left in the ACC right now.

I agree... Miami + FSU adds more value to B1G then FSU + Clemson. Winning all of Florida is way bigger than part of Florida + part of SC..I still think South Carolina actually has more SC fans than Clemson fans. Once Clemson falls back to just average or even slightly above average, their value...

I have to say, if Miami is even CONSIDERING an invitation to the B12 over ANY invitation to the B10 (short of an SMU type situation), then it says a lot about their vision and plans for the future.

That's a no brainer. The gap between the P2 and B12 will only keep getting bigger. Any position outside of the P2 is only accepting irrelevancy.

You can say it all you want and we all HOPE that it means something. But Miami has given no indication publicly that they're anything but content in the ACC. With the history of poor leadership, especially in athletics, there's very little reason for any of us to believe they're handling this...
