Has anybody ever confirmed if 8 votes (majority) would get the ACC to dissolve and effectively end its GOR?

Yup I think it’s pretty clear FSU/Clemson going to the SEC would actually make it more likely we land in the B1G. If FSU/Clemson went to the B1G, I’d be nervous they could stop at 20.

The only logic I can think of is if ESPN is worried about FSU, Clemson, Miami, and others jumping ship, maybe they realize the only way to keep the ACC together is to make a power move and ante up big time for ND (more than the NBC offer). Would keep any ACC teams from getting swiped up by FOX...

Saw some rumors that ND is pushing for SMU/Cal/Stanford to the ACC and would join full time with them. Anyone else saying this? Seems far fetched lol

You add ND to that list and man that is a powerhouse conference. Definitely would go toe-to-toe with the SEC in terms of football: - Ohio St - Mich - USC - ND - Clemson - FSU - Miami - Penn St - Wash - Oregon - VT - Nebraska - Wisc - Mich St

2 differences are Texas pulls in way more money than us or FSU. And TAMU doesn’t have nearly the pull of Bama/UGA/UF, assuming they’re all pushing back to some extent.

I got a feeling Bama and UGA wouldn’t want more FL schools either, with all the top recruits they pull down here. No one in the SEC is telling Bama/Saban to **** off.

If there is truth to the FSU/Big Ten rumors, it must be true that UF was pushing hard to keep other FL schools out of the SEC. But just as much as UF, I’d imagine UGA and Bama did not want more recruiting competition in FL either. If you got UF banging the table, plus Bama and UGA not on board...

Last year, insiders on the board were pretty adamant that UM/Cristobal/Rad want to be in the SEC. Maybe they’re using the B1G for leverage?
