If TVD is good he'll be good when he steps in regardless of whether he gets mop-up snaps. Redshirting and riding the pine didn't stop Jameis Winston, Trey Lance, Kyle Trask, Mac Jones, etc. from stepping up when their # was called. If TVD needs those reps we have bigger problems...

Chaney is not a zone scheme back can we pull some linemen for him?

For real. Last thing this team needs is a 4th year QB moping in the locker room causing drama cause the true freshman is getting meaningless mop-up snaps.

Chaney's already a better receiver than Etienne was as a freshman. Maybe in a few years he'll be catching 4-5 balls a game.

Mallory as the iso X and I'm thinking is this a slant or fade...and he runs a shallow cross rub route for the Cam swing route. Lashlee in his bag.

Switch verts is the new cheat code for this offense apparently.

That's a catch in the NFL.

The weirdest part is his hudl had practice film of him playing safety looking smooth in space, yet the knock on him was that he wasn't athletic enough and didn't have the range. I tried to fight against the narrative but this board has an infatuation with Lance ROFLs and adopted his bad eval.

Diaz/Baker showing zero fear for Duke's vertical pass game. About time we see a ballsy gameplan.

Donaldson already paying dividends. Dude is a flexible mountain.

They're not the same player but I agree he can be that type of back. The run scheme needs to adapt to him.

You know I'm not a results-based guy. I isolate traits from context. Rare to find a DL with his combination of physical ability, motor/physicality and now he's got the skill and counters going. Leverage, hands, run defense, double teams, can win inside or outside. And he's relentless every play...

NFL draft is not kind to smaller receiving TEs. Not many teams value them to begin with. Irv Smith went 2nd round but he had better stats, better blocking and more durability. Jordan is 3rd round at best. I think he can be effective as an underneath option (slower Jonnu Smith is my comparison)...

Gap scheme with Chaney. That transition needs to happen.

Brevin's contested ball skills remain a total black hole.

Brevin's blocking remains a frustrating inconsistent mess.

Imagine thinking Phillips is anything but a 1st round stud. He will be missed next year.
