Ed is around, he talks to guys. He's a "big picture" guy as far as his role here. He tries to work with guys about their preparation, their mentality, etc. Clearly it's not sinking in that well. He's not a miracle worker. The rot is too deep. He can't undo or overcome the system the HC has in place. He'd be a great asset with a team on a clear ascent.

I believed the hype. I really thought that he'd be assisting Manny with some of his blind spots and helping to show the young guys how they did it during his reign.

When Ed was hired and us that knew better pointed out that a job so poorly defined wasn't truly a job, but a PR move, we were called mopes. Ed is getting paid to do a whole lot of nothing. He's there to be a cheerleader on the sidelines and do media appearances.

It was all a publicity stunt by Blake and Manny after they torpedoed Alonzo. They didn't want Alonzo to interfere so it's obvious they don't want Reed to interfere either.
Good on Reed for taking the gig that pays him to show up a few times a year and stay clear of the sh1tshow down here.
Bad on fans that actually believed it was anything more than a ceremonial position.
