UM offers 2022 #1 CB Khamauri Rogers (COMMITS!)

Weight is completely overrated at CB. Gimme a physical dog who likes to tackle over the pretty looking 200 pound corner who is soft. Rogers has a great frame you clowns! LFG

Not sure why everyone is busting on HighSeas for this one. He wasn't ripping a prospect, he noted one concern with size and backed it up with video and facts on where it could come into play. He also never said Khamauri wasn't a take nor did he say it was a bad eval, he even noted athleticism and length are not a concern.

You dont have to agree but it was a pretty fair analysis with reasoning behind it. Isnt that what this board should be about?

Why would someone be on board with bringing in a kid for months and say nothing but good things about the prospect to only start pointing out flaws when the kid is actually close to committing? Sounds a little fishy and negative to me but no one has said its an unfair assessment (we all know the kid is not 6'3)

kid is plenty big for High School, the people on this site are just stupid tbh... He will add at least 20lbs in college which would put him at 190-200lbs and 5'11".. That's NFL size all day so people need to just shut up and appreciate the fact we are now in position to land this young buck.
I've seen several posters note him as 5'10"-5'11" yet his listing is 6'1" 🧐. I think lots of people concerned about his thinner frame fail to realize most of these recruits may not have access to the best food/nutritional options, Mississippi is one of the poorest states in the USA so I wouldn't be surprised if struggles exist pertaining to consuming the right foods in the proper quantities necessary to add mass, especially for a naturally very slim kid. Once he's here with Feeley & Bellamy going through the progression of the weight room and eating around the clock he'll gain 10-15 pounds like nothing.

People who focus on these kids size, especially at CB, make me laugh. CAN HE PLAY should be the focus!! Vilma told me he played a 211 during the Nebraska championship game. If you can play... YOU CAN PLAY! Outside of the trenches, size rarely matters. Besides, at 6’0 150-60. That’s enough for him to be in the 180s by the time he actually plays. Look at Tecory Couch. The kid came in at 142 and was dawg. Now... look at him. He looks all of 180s...

You think HighSeas has an ulterior motive? lol

he compared the Rodges to Adoree Jackson, & Adoree Jackson looked like a 5’10 super saiyan at 18.

Not at all. Ive always liked a lot of his posts. Im not gonna crown him just because he liked zion nelson and that turned out good but im also not targeting him whatsoever just making an observation

High Seas is a trip, yesterday he poRsted Travis Etienne was a water waisted goes down on first contact RB. It was a marvelous take on the ACC's all time leading rusher and 1st Round NFL pick.

That said this kid looks like a take for sure, no matter the size.

LOL! A 6'1" 168 pound high 4 star (.9736 composite rating) with 44 offers including the likes of LSU, TAMU, UGA and Auburn who we've thankfully got a great shot a landing, but he's too small/slight???

Jesus. Some of you guys need to log off and take a break for awhile. Travis Benjamin was 145 pounds soaking wet when he enrolled at Miami in '08 who plays in the league at around 175. If he can put on weight and be successful, anyone can.

From this morning:

It is time to make another crystal ball prediction for a key Miami Hurricanes football 2022 recruiting target.

We are logging a Miami crystal ball pick for four-star cornerback Khamauri Rogers out of Holmes County (MS) High School.

Rogers visited Coral Gables on June 1st on an unofficial visit for a cookout on the UM campus. All indications are that the visit went very well as Rogers was able to get face time with cornerbacks coach DeMarcus Van Dyke and secondary coach Travaris Robinson. He also spent plenty of time with 2021 signees, quarterback Jake Garcia and safety James Williams.

The decision will be made by Rogers, but his family is on-board with him attending Miami if that is where he wants to go.

Rogers plans to make a return trip to Coral Gables for an official visit on the June 18th weekend.

Ole Miss currently leads on the crystal ball for Rogers. Tennessee is also considered a major player in the recruitment at this stage.

Miami wants to add depth and talent at the cornerback position in this 2022 cycle and adding Rogers would certainly help accomplish that. Rogers ranks as the No. 66 overall player in the country, according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite.

During the 2019 season, Rogers totaled 46 tackles, 22 pass break-ups and four interceptions. In 2020, he was credited with 30 tackles, three pass break-ups and two interceptions as opposing offenses decided to not test him as much.

The Hurricanes signed only one cornerback in the 2021 class with three-star Ft. Myers Bishop Verot cornerback Malik Curtis joining the team this summer. It is a big position of need for UM in this 2022 cycle.

I'm not being negative here, but he's been downgraded to the #6 corner by the websites.

What changed and where's the big dawg powerhouses on this kid? #6 is typically a top offer list recruit and we're competing with Ole Miss and Tennessee?

Maybe it was covered in here somewhere. Just wondering what that's about? I also realize this thread was started two years ago approximately.
It depends who the other big recruiting schools like or have ahead of him. If like a month before he sign bama and everyone puts a full court press on him chances are he's legit. It's still to early and players move around some grow some go way down.....testing numbers at Sparq are a big indicator of who moves up and down. Rankings aren't always right but they are really good right now.

Facts. It’s okay to acknowledge someone’s weaknesses along with their strengths. He literally said he could be Adoree Jackson idk how that could be considered an insult.

High Seas was also the first one to say with conviction that Zion would be significantly better than his rating. Dude calls it how he sees it, and for a free message board with a bunch of idiots, offers up some pretty good analysis.
