Nothing new here. Even after a decade+ of irrelevance in college football, our players still continue to uphold the the proud tradition of NFLU.

Some mind blowing stats:

ND has had 543 players play in the NFL (1st all-time) and they have played in 26,844 games (1st all-time)

USC has had 483 players play in the NFL (2nd all-time) and they have played in 26,378 games (2nd all-time)

UM has had 312 players play in the NFL (9th all-time) and they have played in 18,844 games (5th all-time)

And yet, yesterday, UM moved past USC for *2ND ALL TIME* in TDs scored in the NFL.

The All-Time NFL TD leader board by school is now:

1. ND - 1756
2. UM - 1703
3. USC - 1699
4. OSU - 1562
5. LSU - 1412
6. Mich - 1296
7. UF - 1273
8. PSU - 1191
9. UGA - 1158
10. UT - 1134
.....
18. FSU - 939
...
21. BAMA - 836

ND players have played in 8 THOUSAND more games than UM players.... and they only have 53 more TDs.......

Its truly astounding the success our Alumni have had at the next level and it is something that every single Cane should be very proud of.

Here is the website where I got all the info and you can play around with the table and see how dominant we are in ProBowls, active players (STILL), and HOFers.

We are going to look back in 10 years and wonder how the **** Golden didn't win with Hurns Dorsett Coley Walford Duke. It's just inexplicable how bad of a head coach he really was on game day. Pretty good Sunday to Friday and a total potato on Saturdays.

Great stats OP! It's amazing to think we were a nothing program before 1980 as well...!

We used to get players in NFL even before. RBs, DL, had some great ones. But to have outstripped all those big schools some of whom have play 100 years is amazing. To think we have done it with administrations who didn't care much to actually hate the program is beyond belief. Four or five years of Butch will close the gap on number of players with USC.

Just like we'll be doing for the nine years until then. Also, the thousand years after that.

Ted Hendricks, Chuck Foreman, Ottis Anderson, Dennis Harrah... all NFL greats that played at the U in the 60s and 70s.

We will eventually pass USC and ND which is crazy. And we will catch them in HOFers too, we have a lot on deck!

Ted is greatest ever for me. Let's not forget Jim Otto -HOF too. The 70's started getting more Dlinemen in the pros too. Like Howard said, all we needed was coaching. Nothing has changed.
