Love it. The Raising Canes videos, as well as the All Access' with Chip are fantastic. I wonder what impact, if any, it has with recruits. I am interested to know if other big time programs have a similar set-up...

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - 3 Penny Films, a production company that has pioneered a new genre in collegiate sports television and web programming, has announced a new two-year agreement with the University of Miami to provide original sports programming covering football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.

The sports content will feature TV and web programming, including the series Raising Canes showcasing the Miami Hurricanes football program guided by head coach Al Golden.

“We are thrilled to grow our ongoing partnership with the University of Miami as we enter our third year of creating compelling content to share the stories of Hurricanes’ athletics,” said Joe Schreiber, co-founder of 3 Penny Films.

“3 Penny Films was proud to work with the Hurricanes for the past two years to showcase Miami’s football program and now looks forward to telling the inspiring stories of other student-athletes competing in baseball and basketball.”

“The tagline for 3Penny Films is ‘We Tell Stories’ and the story at the University of Miami is not complete,” said Chris Freet, UM Associate AD for Communications & Marketing. “The first two years have chronicled an unpredictable ride and we believe the most compelling coverage is yet to come. This group is the best in the industry and we are ecstatic that college football fans, whether local or national, will be able to see the ensuing chapters unfold from behind the scenes and behind the lens of 3 Penny Films.”

3 Penny Films began working with the University of Miami in 2011 on a two-year project with a full-time embedded film crew at The U to document the Hurricanes football program in its original web series, Raising Canes. The 2012 series of spring webisodes was honored with two TELLY Awards for outstanding work. Content from the web series has also been featured on national and regional TV networks, including ESPNU, CBS Sports Network, FOX and Comcast Regional Networks.
