Coming off of a disappointing UFC 234, 235 looking to redeem with a loaded fight card with 2 title fights on the line.

The main even Light Heavyweight championship match of Jon Jones vs Anthony Smith.

Jones coming off a dominating performance in his last fight to regain the belt from Gustafsson is on a 15 fight win streak & hasn't officially lost a fight since 2009, it's literally been a decade. While Smith is 31-13 total coming off a 3 fight win streak vs Oezdemir, Rua & Evans.

No need to give a long run down, Jones is the overwhelming clear favorite in this matchup, he's **** near perfect & has very little flaws in game. Smith on the other hand has shown some big weaknesses in dealing with explosive fighters like when he was TKO'd vs Thiago Santos just a year ago.

Jones has the reach, the power, the striking & the fight IQ advantage over Smith, even has a better ground game than him as well. It would be a colossal upset if Another Smith could figure out how to pull it off, but I just don't see that happening. Jones will control the distance, tactically strike with leg kicks, keep Smith from charging in with elbows & once Smith gets caught trying to force the issue Jones will take him down & a get the finish. I got Jon Jones winning by stoppage in the 3rd, by either RNC or TKO.

The Co Main is another great one with Tyron Woodley vs Kamaru Usman.

Woodley coming off arguably one of the most dominant fights at 170 where he completely outclassed Darren Till & submitted him in the 2nd round with the D'Arce choke after out-striking him 74-1. Usman is on a 9 fight win streak in the UFC & had 2 very good bouts vs Dos Anjos & Demian Maia.

Usman is good striker with power, but Wodley's power is equivalent to that of a high caliber boxer, he has absolute dynamite in his fists. Woodley has the advantage as a wrestler & despite being only 5'9 has very long reach & can connect on a bigger/taller guys like Usman the same way he did with Till. I got Woodley continuing to solidify his legendary status in the 170lbs division & getting the finish vs Usman, I believe he wins in the 4th by stoppage & maintains the Welterweight title belt.

As for the debut of Ben Askren vs Robbie Lawler, I got Askren using his Elite wrestling to propel him to get his first W in the UFC.

Who yall got?

Johnny Walker **** near took off Cirkunov's head in the preliminaries....wonder how seriously he injured himself during his celebration....

Cody lost his confidence after the back to back losses to TJ....Dana was touting Cody as the new face of the UFC prior to the first Dillishaw loss....

Will be very interesting to see how Askren does after his long exile in lesser organizations....Lawler always brings it and has had some of the most epic battles (vs Carlos Condit comes to mind) in the history of the UFC...Lawler with a puncher's chance, but most likely see Askren....

Hoping the Usman fight doesn't turn into another Woodley vs Demian Maia snoozeathon....Thinking the wrestling may cancel each other out....and, hoping, as sometimes happen when two elite wrestlers get together...turns into a slugfest....Woodley has amazing take down defense...hopefully, it's not a 25 minute wrestlefvck...Hard to call...Woodley, only because he's experienced in main events...

On Smith vs Jones...Never say never in MMA...Matt Serra vs GSP proved that....With that caveat out of the way, Jones is so solid in every aspect of his game with a highly underrated fight IQ and ridiculous athleticism....The 205 division is razor thin at the moment...and it's a big drop off from Bones to everyone else...Jones unless a Serra level upset...

Great points.

With Woodley vs Maia a lot of people forget that Woodley injured his shoulder in the fight, so he was literally fighting with a torn labrum from the 1st round on, Woodley adjusted & did what he had to do in order to win. Stopping 24 takedowns from a pure strangler like Maia was impressive.

People give Woodley a hard time but the guy takes on top contenders every time & always defends his belt, he doesn't duck anybody. He's not a boring fighter, he's had great matches vs Koscheck, Dong Hyun Kim, Gastelum, Lawler, both fights vs Thompson & completely dominated Till.

That was robbery. Reacted to that arm going dead which was weird. Robbie f-ed him up but got gassed IMO

For sure Herb realized he made a mistake. His arm limp and then a minimal reaction when he tested it caused that early stoppage.

Yeah Herb fcked up on that one, he wasn't out but it looked like he would've been if he kept it locked in.

What's crazy is when Lawler was doing ground & pound on Askren I for sure thought Herb was going to stop it then but he let Askren stay in it & get up.

In Herb Dean's defense, Lawler's arm did fall like it was limp and he was out for a second....But, man did Lawler fvck up Askren at the start of the fight...at the time, thought we were witnessing one of the most overhyped fighters of all time in Askren.....Given the controversial stoppage, would like to see Lawler and Askren go at it again....
