It took some real men to see their time through here at the University during its toughest times. Regardless of the record by the end of the season, they should be very proud of what they accomplished here. We as a fanbase will criticize them to no end...but being real, they left this program in a better place than what they came in to. Many of their classmates left because it would be much easier to leave than to stay...but the select few that stuck around, have something they should truly be proud of during their time here at the University.

Good thread, Larry.

Lot of guys bailed on us this year so much respect to this group that hung in there and stuck it out.
 
Met Mike James at the team hotel this morning. What a humble gracious person. I thanked him for what has meant to the U and told him I'm sure he will continue be an excellent ambassador for this university.

He seemed grateful for the acknowledgement and was off to team breakfast........CLASS

Great bunch of guys. Wish them the best for the future! Great foundation Mike James has started in the locker room with his leadership. Now Duke can take that torch!

Mike James is a guy you bring back as a grad assistant and groom him to be a position coach.
