Anyone else concerned with how ineffective the run game was tonight? Yes, FSU sold out to stop the run, but they’re a bad run defense. UVA just gashed them for 200+. We’re probably not complaining about being so conservative if we convert some of those run plays in the 4th. Instead, we could barely gain a yard. Lyle also didn’t look right to me.

Should we be concerned or is this a one game outlier?

Not in the slightest. We got up 28-3 not being able to run. My worry is what would happen when a team completely sold out against it. We got our answer.

Nope. They played Lyle too early, and at the wrong times. His Carrie’s need to come after Flecth & Brown has smashed the defense.

It's a rivalry game, I would expect FSU to commit to stopping the run, especially since they talked about it in the buildup. Dawson chose to throw the ball instead and it got us a 28-3 lead. I'll take it.

FSU played their little heart out and obviously had a plan to make Beck a passer
I'm glad we found out we could do both. Toney was awesome but he also dropped a dime for a TD and we had a TD come back on a procedural penalty. Would have been a blowout and we wouldn't care about the run game. That's what the Noles have us and I'm glad we showed we can do it both ways.

Absolutely not because I saw our run game over the first 4 weeks. FSU sold out to stop the run, so our QB threw 4 TD and had a 5th called back. Its reverse from the UF game.
I get what you’re saying, but I do think the predictability and lack of variation in the run game hurts us. The sweep to Marion worked beautifully. Why not do that a bit more? Running up the gut over and over isn’t always going to be effective.

No, I'm not concerned about our run game when Fletch and Brown are in. I am concerned that they will keep putting Lyle in and our offense stalls immediately.
Like I said he didn’t look right to me. Not sure if he’s still hurt or what, limited sample size but he has just 12 carries for 29 yards.

The run game has been mediocre. Not one rb on the roster could see mop up duty on the 2001 team… let alone challenge for PT
