While I don't like the duplicate numbers either, trying to make that somehow about Golden is some really stupid ****. All teams do it. There are only so many numbers.

I know....I just don't remember using it so much in the past..

I'm surprised the NCAA allows it to be honest. It might be no big deal but with 99 numbers you'd think everyone could pick a unique one.

Has it always been like this...even back in the 80's and 90's?

I think that in the past more of the duplicates went to bench riders, so you never saw them on the field. But a lot of the more coveted numbers are now being used by both defensive and offensive starters.

99 numbers, 120-125 kids on a team. There were always duplicates. It just used to be common practice that the duplicates were not starters.

Single digits were less of a big deal in the past. Skill guys love them. You'll see most duplicates there. Apparently defensive lineman like doing it to. Kendrick Norton went from 77 in high school to 7 here. Quan got 8 after his freshman year at 98. I did like that multiple times in games when the announce team was talking about Stephen Morris the camera would pan to McCord.

What difference does it make? This is not the old days. People want to play in single digit numbers and there are only 9 that they can wear.

Some of our better players are wearing duplicate numbers. I kinda like the players being able to wear whatever jersey they want.

The kids like the one digit numbers. No biggy. Probably helps with recruiting believe it or not. Least of my concerns regarding this staff.
