Jimmy lost his first three bowl games here, including Fiesta Bowl NC game with one of the most stacked teams in history.

He’s one of the greatest Canes ever, but he had issues just like every other coach.

That is exactly why that man is a National Champion and a World Champion. CMR has none of that in him. Love CMR, but that is not in him, unfortunately. []_[]!

Correction; Vinny lost that bowl game, period! Go back and re-watch that game. Speaking of, does Vinny even come around the program since he left?

Mark Richt has a little of that in him but he also has some Dennis Erickson and Larry Coker as well.

Say what you want about Erickson but he never had a problem with offense. Matter of fact he was an offensive genius...and he won everywhere he coached...even with 2 star kids. And took NFL team to playoffs.

Yeah but JJ overruled stevens wanting to Run Highsmith. JJ wanted to pass and led to Ints. And yes Vinny has come around...remember hia son was on the team a few years ago.

Thats not what happened...JJ wanted to run....But Vinny was imploring him to keep throwing....JJ consented....but till this day says it was his worst FB blunder ever....Same thing happened with Dolphins...JJ wanted to run...Marino didn't....Marino even went so far to Audible JJs run calls....

Yep.

He definitely had a few games as HC that I try hard to keep out of the memory.

The Flutie game and Testaverde throwing a couple hundred INTs in the '86 championship game are at the top of the list.

Yeah Erickson was never corch. Now running a tight ship is where he lacked here. And jumping in the bottle of course.

He was an offensive Guru to a point...his Offensive gameplan against Bama in 93 was retardation 101....You run a 1 back to no back offense against 2 AA DLmen in Copeland and Curry??....with a turnstile OL to boot??...Torreta was a sitting Duck...LoL at 170lb Conley pass protecting... (if not spread out wide by snap)...

Yup...take away all that talent He inherited at UM, and Minnesota giving away a $h!t load of draft picks for Herschel, JJ's another run of the mill coach.

ROTFLOL at JJ a run of the mill coach....Dear ****** God...why do this to me...What JJ inherited from Howard...he quickly obliterated within 2yrs...go look at the 85-88 classes....with Butch closing the deal..
And remember....JJ had to come in and completely change the Defense from the previous regime...and not to mention the fallback from coaches remaining from Howard's staff...If JJs Defense..would've been the Defense against Nebraska in 83....the tipped pass wouldn't have been needed...JJ wipes his *** with Olividatti..and ultimately proved it....Howard/Olividatti ran a mixture of 5-2 and 3-4....5-2 was referred to as "Monster" according to my good friend & starting Nosetackle on the 83 NC team Tony Fitzpatrick....
JJ revolutionized CFB Defense.....
