Don't know if he meant to do this, but today was the 1st time Jedd Fisch said Duke Johnson has "two great backs behind him."

There should be zero doubt at this point.

Coaches just don't want to overuse him or put too much on his plate.

i agree, i just like the fact that fisch said it.

looks like it only took 3 games for him to take over the reigns (regardless of whether or not his touches change).

If half the morons on this board had Duke pegged as an elite back, why wouldn't the coaching staff as well?

The other backs are very valuable and important to the sucess of this team.

Nobody blocks a LB like Mike James.....who has imporved a ton in that aspect.

And OT is a very good back behind an ELITE back.

When you have a once in a lifetime type back, give him the rock.

Agreed, James is a good situational back, but it's more important to get the ball to Duke because he has a chance to take it the distance every time he touches the ball.

Ya he looked great doing this, @ Kstate, on Morris's run to the pylon

I would limit his touches and make sure he never gets hurt in his career here at UM. Max of 5 touches per game.

Sincerely,
Larry Coker

This. ****ing this.

he looks good but lets give it a few games before we start calling him barry sanders

he looked great against a team that is awful, looked awful against a decent big 12 team, and dominated a div 2 team

i say we wait until we see him against a good team or two before we crown him

He missed a study hall. He is in the doghouse for the rest of his career.

Signed,
Randy Shannon
