Jon Jones the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is making his return back to competition in a grappling match vs former WWE World Heavyweight & US Champion formally known as “Jack Swagger”.

Jake has also wrestled on numerous promotions including ECW, Lucia Underground & AEW. And while primarily being known as a sports entertainment wrestler has also had a few fights in MMA as a Bellator competitor. If you’re wondering why he would have a grappling match with Jon Jones (aside from the money obviously lol), his background is as a collegiate All-American wrestler at Oklahoma.

Jon Jones has also competed as a grappler before some years ago when on the Submission Underground promotion where he beat Dan Henderson.

Also for those that missed it, one of the best upcoming Chechen savages who has taken the UFC by storm, Khamzat Chimaev had a Freestyle Catch wrestling match another UFC fighter in Middleweight (185lbs) Jack Hermansson. Khamzat is a Welter (170), although he obviously walks around at a much bigger weight. But he absolutely ragdolled Hermansson.

But along with his meteoric rise as a 10-0 undefeated MMA fighter, Khamzat is actually an amazing high level Freestyle wrestler & is an undefeated multiple time National Swedish Gold medalist with a 24-0 record.

Khamzat is seen as the successor to Khabibi with similar backgrounds (both being from the very close regions in the North Caucuses of Chechnya & Dagestan) & similar styles in their approach to MMA, Khamzat has set himself apart from the rest of the pack & is definitely a future potential multiple division champion.

Grappling tends to be a little slow in developing sometimes. You have to know the intricacies, which i dont, to be a fun. I find wrestlers boring. But, a real mma champ has to know all the sciences to be effective.

Yeah if you don’t know what you’re watching, it can be a little slow to understand but once you get a grasp of the sport it’s actually really amazing.

I’ve been a BJJ practitioner for almost 6 years now & it’s easily my favorite thing, aside from my love of college football lol.

I would recommend more fast paced style BJJ like Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu matches, or IBJJF all for Gi competition, those usually end in submissions & for no-Gi, competitions like ADCC, Grapplefest, WNO & any other submission only style competition can be really entertaining as well.

Polaris used to be absolute best BJJ competition international league available outside of the IBJJF, they disappeared for a few years but have recently gotten restarted again & have had some good matches.

ELITE LEGENDARY BJJ Practitioner Marcus Buchecha, multiple time ADCC Gold medalist, 16 time BJJ World champion, 6 time World Cup Abu Dhabi Gold Medalist. & IBJJF Hall Of Famer, has recently just stared his MMA career after being one of the world greatest BJJ Black-Belts in competition & has been off to a quick start.

On the One promotion just a few months ago back in September, he North-South choked the Legend Anderson Silva & now in just his 2nd fight in MMA he RNC’s Kang Ji Won.

Buchecha has been one of the brightest stars to come out of the Santos academy founded by his teacher Rodrigo Cavaca who was a student of Elcio Figueiredo, who was a student of Carlson Gracie.

Chechnya is one of the few regions that serves as Earth's Salusa Secondus.

That’s a fact, some of the most hardened & resilient human beings you’ll ever find on the planet.

Not to get political, but those two regions frequently do battle with the RAF & hold their own against a world military power with practically outdated post Cold War armory... They’re tough tough battled tested Warriors.

Their military aged male population grew up dealing with Russian's fuel air explosive attacks and incursions into their villages on an almost daily basis.

True warriors.

In a HUGE upset the 2x IBJJF Black Belt from the Gracie/Malachias school Pedro Marinho beats the former Danaher Death Squad prodigy Craig Jones for the WNO Light Heavyweight title.

Craig Jones was arguably the best LHW in the world & was well known for being the next Ryan Gordon, so this is big upset in the sense of perception, but if you know about Marinho he’s a multiple time world champion in BJJ & is a Ulpiano Malachias disciple & is one of the best battled tested young guys in the LHW division with 36 wins & 17 submissions.

He wasn’t able to get the submission in this match, but he absolutely dominated Craig Jones with side control & passed guard against him with ease the entire match.
