Call it whatever you want, that dumb rat poison analogy or whatever, the further this run continues the more focus we will need as everyone is gunning for the last deer to take down during hunting season. We are it in the ACC, the one everyone can make their season by beating and they will do anything they can to do it, there are no more off weeks after this one and if we want to meet our potential we can't lose a game this season, we are that talented but it does not mean we can't lose.

We have never won the ACC so clearly that should be our next goal after of course becoming bowl eligible with a 6th win. Meet your own expectations and we are national champs, slip once and we are done, that is the way it was for the old Canes and it is the same way now, one loss would possibly doom us. The 1980's Canes knew one loss could doom them and we played the best in the country back then. This year's team has something in common with those old school Canes, nobody wants you to win except us, you will meet many obstacles the rest of the way and don't expect the Committee to make your run easier either. Embrace how much they hate you, the tougher path will make it much sweeter when you triumph.

Don't think going undefeated matters much since the playoff expanded. Last year the 12 teams had 20 losses before the playoff began.

It would be cool to go undefeated, but am nearly certain we will make the playoff this year if we drop 1 regular season game and somehow don't make the ACC Championship game. Happy to make a friendly wager with anyone on this.

If the only two options are:
1. Win the ACC but drop a 1-2 games in the regular season
2. Lose the ACC but go undefeated in the regular season

I would chose option 3. Go 12-0 and win the ACC.
