He was never a take IMO, too much question with lack of speed & athleticism.

Plus he’s an AH kid; AH gonna AH always lol
Best of luck to the young man. People were hoping he would be the next James Williams based upon similar height. He is a decent player and decent prospect, but he has never produced like James, doesn't have James' football acumen and isn't in the same area code from the standpoint of speed and athleticism.

Jomo was a better safety than both but George smith played him at WR. Made no sense
They had some pretty good WR around that time too. 2000 class had Tony Brown, Joe Bruce and Jomo was 2001. That year Damani played S with Nate Salley (Ohio state) who was a sophomore.

Man Golden was legit, if I remember correctly he was starting both ways at RB and CB for NC State his sophomore year when they were decent with Amato and a ton of South Florida kids. Talk about a wild dude though, don’t think he even made it thru his sophomore year there before being dismissed.
