If you want to split hairs, you could say the 01 Canes weren't the most dominant team because they had a few close victories (BC and VT) but that in no way excuses putting the Gaytor team on their who lost to friggin Mississippi.

Irrelevant. They got each opponent's best game each and every week. If Coker didn't call off the dogs, they beat Nebraska by 60. And look at all the NFL talent that was on that team.

There's no doubt that they were the most talented team and probably the best college team ever but the fact is they didn't dominate every opponent. Just a majority of them.

I don't normally jump on the I hate ESPN bandwagon but this is egregious and insanely unbelievable!!

The editor actually responded to this complaint and said we were the most impressive team he's ever seen, but they had a formula they used and didn't deviate from it.

Then his formula sucks! I mean, go back to the drawing board bro!

I can't imagine any team "dominating" every single opponent for an entire season.. rivalry games are hard for a reason, as are trap games late in the season... that being said, it was 34-0 against the national title contender AT THE HALF!! If that's not dominant then I don't know what is. GO CANES!!!

**** you all to ****!!

The Miami Heat aren't on that list? Notice that even though the gator got on the list, they came in AFTER a women's basketball team -- that is fitting.

Not to change subjects, but they should've also included the Spanish 2010 World Cup team.. That team was the definition of dominant.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone remembers watching games in 2001. Our team started playing mid way through the 3rd qtr. People only think about their NFL careers. We didn't know their NFL careers in 2001.

Why anyone pays attention to anything that comes from ESPN these days is shocking to me.

If 3 people are in an elevator and 2 of them fart how do you determine which two did the farting?

I lost so much respect in ESPN after they showed a monthly top ten ... But the top 5 highlights could've all been easily number one for different months but they chose to put a woman's college game with a simple cross over for the number one spot ( over a crazy *** dunk, an eagle in golf and a bicycle kick ) I wanted to cut my leg off with a rusty spoon after seeing that PC bs

The people who made this list also made a most dominate players list and had Tom Brady like 18 and had Peyton Manning top 3.
