****, We've Come A Long Way

And manages to give up 41 because there isn't an offense on the planet that couldn't score at least 41 points on that D.

With our inept offense??? I’m not so sure. We made FIU look like the vaunted Steel Curtain Def; CMU, The Purple People Eaters, and LA Tech the 00 Ravens. We’ll for sure make this No D led def look like the 85 Bears.

Watching Ens vs Onofrio would be like watching two special needs people getting it on. You know, like when you accidentally click on that tab on Pornhub

Not a chance only 3 teams put up 41 or over on that 2013 Canes team and one was National Champion FSU at Doak. As bad as Golden was, he wasn't Diaz bad.

Yes. Miami kids doing a trendy dance is the reason why they lost. Not because of a Defensive Coordinator that got 2 different HC's in 2 difference conferences fired.

People so desperate to blame things for losing. No, this corny stuff isn’t why they lost. They lost because they were handcuffed by a defensive coordinator who consistently fielded terrible defenses and never got fired. The equivalent would have been Manny bringing back Enos.

Ex players from the Golden era talk about the respect that had for him. They say he was a good coach. He had more respect from his player than Dias does, that's for sure. Golden could have won here. He rubbed me the wrong way, but he got us through the cloud, and managed to land some top level talent while doing it. Put Diaz as DC on that staff and we win a lot of games. Golden's biggest weakness was not making changes to get better.

THANK GOD THOSE FOOLISH ANTICS ARE IN THE PAST, BOYS!

Remember when Golden had all that NFL talent, and had our team doing this??

LSU did the same thing that year. So did a lot of schools and sports franchises. It was a dumb trend, but one that everyone was doing, nonetheless.

This stupid, one-off dance paled in comparison to the 3-4 defense Golden and D'Onofrio were running on a daily basis.

Don't forget Duke putting up 48, or VTech scoring 42 on us that year.

I'll just draw your attention to 2012 when al gave up 52 (#20 K state), 41 (#10 ND), 41 (UVA), and 45 (Duke). On the year the D gave up 30.5 PPG and lost 5.

We've already covered '13, so how about '14? Good news is we only gave up 41 once. Bad news? Lost 7 games.

In '15 we gave up 58 to Clemson and 59 to UNC. Other than that, and losing 5 games, the D didn't give up much.

So I guess it's possible you're right, maybe Manny's worse than al. Time will tell. One thing I'll say is that at least Manny's trying to change things. If it doesn't work that'll be cold comfort, but he's trying harder than al did.

Miami Heat did it too

Long way? We're doing it during games now
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I remember when the Hurricanes took on the demeanor of their head coach and showed almost no emotion at many points during Randy Shannon's tenure.
