2028 A'mir "A1" Sears 5* ATH from West Broward

Must be nice to not have powerhouse privates in your class.

Get a few athletes in the building...
And 2 years later you're playing for state titles.

Happy for West Broward AND West Boca though. Two well-coached programs. But this is how the playoffs SHOULD BE. West Broward and West Boca grinded their way to a state title appearance, beating/out-coaching teams with similar rosters and resources. Meanwhile all the privates have been on the winning side of multiple blowouts during the playoffs. It makes for bad football and it's just gonna keep going this way until the state does the right thing.

i just noticed seen that rb who they have who looks tough and im like yea he dont look familiar...Kid is from ****** Moore Haven. who they got recruiting over there? lol
Keep in mind... they had Deb and Aiden too!

They are absolutely loaded.

All that just to go 6-5 and get their a$ses whooped by any team with a pulse.

Maybe if Luke stayed off the social justice twitter rants and went to a clinic or two to learn ball he'd be able to piece together a respectable season.
Or hire some man who know ball. That's what smart people do. Hire people smarter than them lol

wRIGHT'S dad made a post i wanna say this week....that its sad that he wont be able to sell his son on fsu or something like that..he is not a norvell fan...so its similar to when we sucked and parents were cane fansd and their kids went elsewhere.

Wingo and Wright are boys so we have an in there.
If Hartline doesn’t get a better job (at that time)or isn’t hired by a team as a staffer, then I say we have a chance

Recruiting must be *** in HS without the logo, I have no idea how it works but I bet you got your hands tied behind your back sometimes. Just by reading here for years I know you a good coach, no glaze just facts

But yea its Luke so u know he is difficult to deal wit and work with and he is at a school that not much locals want to transfer into in Little Haiti, they dont have much if any talent in the school as is...its a predominantly haitian school

The main issue is convincing the parents. (which I understand 100%)

I've had A LOT of kids who were on the fence that ultimately chose a private over us. (usually to sit the bench ironically)

Most public schools have 💩 facilities. Our coaches get paid $2000. Our fields have dirt and holes. Even at Western (a "nice" school) we didn't have a practice field. Our stadium at McArthur is LITERALLY falling apart (not exaggerating) and our weight room is the worst I've ever seen in 18 years of coaching high school ball. On top of that we're a C school.

And I'm supposed to convince a parent to choose us over STA/Heritage/Chaminade/Archbishop???

I don't blame the parents. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I wouldn't send my kid to most public schools in Broward either. But I do blame the FHSAA for making schools like us have to compete with schools who have 10x the resources.

They should have a separate league and playoffs for the private school teams.

In GA we have this same issue in basketball. We had to play against Caleb Wilson for the past 4 years who went to a local private school (freshman at UNC who will be a top 5 pick). How in the world is any team that does not recruit supposed to compete against that? And as you noted, his success just makes the sell easier to the next family. And his high school campus looks like a small college, only with better facilities!
