It would make sense. I remember someone mentioning (Cribby/LCE- Im not sure) that we might be in play for someone who didnt have the green light before. I think folks automatically assumed Collier or Chase, when it could be this guy..

I hope he does because I think we need a second RB and he is a good fit. But, it seems like he’s going to have to get in soon if he wants to be at Miami.
I don't know if his commitment is/was being held back because of the numbers tightening up. I know he's the 2nd back for Texas A&M prospects because Jimbo is all in on recruiting LJ Johnson as their #1 RB. Johnson is rated the #4 RB and Daniels is rated #6 APB in this 2021 class per 247Sports.

I hope Amari becomes a Cane. I think he would fit in well with the Lashlee offense.

Daniels has been showing Miami crazy love on social media, I think he wants in but we're still not giving him the green light. There would be nothing that happened in these past two weeks that would shift our attitude on him. If he had a spot, he would've committed long ago. I think he's on the lower side of our remaining targets.

Either that or he may not get brought back for a 5th year. As a coach, are you bringing back a RB who would be 4th on your depth chart for a fifth year? Not likely especially given the recruiting going on.
4th on your depth chart? When guys DO get injured? When Burns is viewed as a short-yardage specialist?

Wow, we should only carry 3 RBs, and we should push a kid out because he's "only" 4th string? Now I've heard everything.

I'm not saying Burns will or will not be back, only that the "not get brought back for a 5th year" theory is a load of crap.
