Video of Ira Denson at Champs Sports released
Video obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat shows former Florida State football player Ira Denson and another man using the credit card of FSU running back Mario Pender in December, court documents say.
The incident resulted in a shooting three days later that left Pender's half-brother with a bullet wound in the head and one of Denson's friends facing a charge of attempted murder.
Pender told Tallahassee Police that Denson used his missing credit card to buy shoes and other items at a Champs Sports, a Foot Locker and a gas station.
Pender, upon finding out that his card was stolen, took a pair of Denson's shoes, which led to a meeting Dec. 22 at the Seminole Ridge apartment complex, where the two would exchange Denson's shoes and the money Denson owed Pender.

But during the exchange Denson said Tarron Addison, 20, fired shots from the driver's seat of a PT Cruiser while he sat in the passenger seat. One of those bullets went through the ear of Pender's half-brother, Tim Pruitt.
The video, court documents say, shows Shaquille Walden, 19, buy a pair of shoes at an area Champs Sports with Denson standing nearby.
Denson is seen wearing a black shirt with a white design on the front and a large chain necklace.
Tarron Addison
Denson said he admitted he knew the card Walden used belonged to Pender, but said he did not know where Walden had gotten the card. Walden told police Denson gave him Pender's card, court documents said.
Addison is currently in the Leon County Jail facing a charge of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Denson faces a charge of accessory after the fact in the shooting, and petty theft and fraudulent use of a credit card in the Champs Sports incident. Walden faces a charge of grand theft.
Denson, who is no longer with the FSU team, has since posted bail, as has Walden.
Denson signed with FSU in 2013 and was redshirted as a freshman. The Madison County native was one of the nation's top 10 offensive guard prospects, according to some recruiting services.
Pender, who was one of the nation's top running backs as a senior at Cape Coral's Island Coast High, was redshirted as a freshman in 2012. He was ruled academically ineligible in 2013 but returned to the team and is expected to compete for playing time this year.
I think Golden knows his only shot is to win big THIS YEAR, or his *** is toast. New president, didn't hire him, wants his own people in charge, Golden's seat is burning up this year.
So I would guess, if Golden has any brain cells at all, he's gonna go out and find every player he possibly can that would be eligible for this year, especially since our o-line sucks, because the new boss isn't gonna buy any excuses about "clouds" or anything like that.
There's a new sheriff in town, so it's **** or get off the pot time in Coral Gables.
Wouldn't want to be Al Golden right now.
Lol. Lazy, overweight, attitude issues with previous coaching staff, credit card thief that robs teammates, AND involved in an attempted murder???? Straight goon that would put Gerald Willis in his place... Sign him up! Cmon OP...

Thing is OL Ira Denson is at ASA JUCO (in Brooklyn, NY) an is now considered a 2015 prospect but UM is supposedly over the sanctions limit so he couldn't help Miami this year unless AG cuts a few spots which supposedly is coming. There were old threads about roster management who were candidates to be encouraged to move on. A. Crawford was not among them though. It will be interesting to see if Al Golden does indeed cut a player to make room for Denson with his checkered past.

There is something fishy about the whole story. He supposedly use credit card to BUY SHOES! Since when do noles buy anything, especially SHOES? Another thing, if Jimbo cut him the kid must suck. If he could play he would still be there.
Article on inside the U !! It just says "Miami still on Denson"? Anyone have feed back ?? Thanks
Guard Ira Denson (Brooklyn, N.Y./ASA College) said it's been "about a month" since he's last talked to Miami's staff
From David Luke 247sports Staff writter Jan 8, 7:44 PM
So tonight we reported that JUCO Ira Denson had committed to Miami. We called Ira and everything checked out with what he told us relating to Miami and we ran with the story. Ira said he talked with coaches Al Golden and James Coley today over the phone, was offered, and he then gave his commitment to UM. Denson also provided details like he talked with Golden and Coley while they were out in Dallas and they were about to get on a flight home.
Denson believes he is a Miami commitment, but the UM coaching staff did not accept his commitment. Miami now has Denson as a back-up option if they want to add more offensive linemen to the class.
I apologize for jumping the gun on this report. It won't happen again.
