Offered by the new staff today. Composite #1 player in the 2024 class. Big time player. Plays for Miami Immortals. It’s early but we gotta be in this next year which starts with getting him on campus at some point this spring or summer.

He’s originally from Virginia, but he plays at IMG.

UNC has the early lead with him because Dre Bly is from the same hometown as him & is recruiting him the same as he did with Tony Grimes who was a 5-star CB from VA as well.

He’s a prototype Field Corner with ideal size & 4.4 speed, he didn’t play that much last year at IMG because he was behind another 5-star VA Corner in Daylen Everette (who signed with UGA), but in the few games where he did get to play sometimes he showed high level traits & good ball skills.

This season will be his first full season as a starter, but he’s projected to be the next elite 5-star cover corner at IMG.

Recruit him hard & throw the kitchen sink at’em, but it will be a fight with UNC, UGA & the other powerhouse schools.

Cormani right now, but Des has great upside as well.

He hasn’t played enough to give a fair full assetment of his game all the way.

This season at IMG we’ll see how good he can be, but he’s the next in line as the next 5-star elite CB.
Would like to see some measurables on both. Equally have elite size and length for the position. (big pause)

Desmond is 6’2 175lbs, Cormani is easily 6’2 1/2 almost 6’3, but I would be shocked if were even a pound over 170.

McClain is very lanky & skinny, but he has the physical frame to put on good weight in college.

Desmond has a stronger physical build, but McClain has ELITE ball skills & athletic ability.

No he’s from the 757. One of the most underrated football areas in the entire nation. An area we need to be more involved in IMO. He’s next in line to be one of the greats out of that area. Past greats like Percy Harvin and Michael Vick etc…

One a lot of people forget about is Ronald Curry. QB for Hampton was the first player in American high school history to be named a 2x 1st team All-American by USA Today. Was player of the year in football and basketball both his senior year and won the McDonalds All-American game MVP/dunk contest both. Decided to play both sports in college at UNC that ended up being his downfall… Bowden said he was the best he’s ever seen…

But yeah this kid is a stud and we 100% need to be more involved in the 757 area code. I still wish we would’ve got the Covil kid.
