2021 Chaminade-Madonna DT Allan Haye signed with Miami earlier today. Haye is Miami's 8th signee on the day.

The 6-1 295 pounder is currently a consensus 3-star prospect in the national rankings. According to the 247Sports Composite Ranking, Haye is the #920 player nationally in 2021, the #56 DT in the country, and the #119 player in the Sunshine State.

Recruiting Story

Allan Haye earned his Miami offer following his junior season and Miami was immediately considered one of the favorites. Haye attended Miami’s junior day in January and committed a few months later on April 22nd, 2020. Haye plays his high school football at Chaminade Madonna, which has been one of Miami’s strongest pipeline schools in recent years, so it is no surprise that he was solid to Miami once he committed. Haye committed to UM over Iowa State, Louisville, Kentucky, and Maryland among others.

Evaluation

Haye was previously a star basketball player before making the switch to football, and has only been playing the game for 3 years. Stout, low-to-the ground build allows him to play with great pad level. Profiles as a run plug looking at his body type, but sports surprising twitch and pass rushing acumen for an interior prospect. Strong and effective hands at the point of attack. The raw power is legit, and he was the only DT to knock back Miami OL commit Laurence Seymore at the Under Armour Miami Camp this year. High motor/effort player that shows willingness to make hustle plays downfield when able, impressive for a player of his size and position. Noted film junkie, something that will be an asset to him in trying to reach his ceiling. Just scratching the surface of what he could be right now and has room to grow.

The Team

Miami could have as many as 9 defensive tackles on the roster when Allan Haye steps on campus in May, although junior Nesta Silvera and senior Jon Ford could potentially declare for the NFL draft.

Redshirt Probability: 9/10

Allan Haye has athleticism and upside, but he also needs to reshape his body and improve his strength and conditioning. Haye will also not arrive on campus until the summer, which lowers any freshman’s chances of getting serious playing time.

A lot of these really big guys are use to using just size in HS but need that muscle and body conditioning at the collegiate level. I read he weighs over 300. Natural low center of gravity and quickness.

Cool story about Allan Haye on the state championship game broadcast. His mom was a member of the Jamaican national soccer team and Haye grew up playing soccer. He was playing JV basketball when a random guy at a gas station that he and his mom were talking to suggested that he try out football. You see how that went.

Big Bad Hayes. Hopefully he’s one of the answers inside for us this year. Think he will have a spot in the rotation. Any idea what he’s up to weight wise now after he had a season under Freeley?

This kid was one of the strongest kids on Chaminade and made all of their OL look silly in practice. This is what River told me when I met Haye for the first time.

I think you're mistaking him for someone else...Haye just enrolled couple months ago. Kid is definitely headed for a redshirt.
