Willie Moise (going to Coastal Carolina)

Pops, how's he doing at CC? Pops, I've been looking for his name on the depth chart or the box scores, and still don't see Willie showing up. Is he getting any reps, or still academically ineligible? 5-0. CC with an impressive run so far.

Yeah, it won't be for 2021, unless it's that blue shirt thing that Jarrid Williams did. But absolutely could see him back in 2022 depending on how he plays at CC.

Wishing Moise the very best. I hope everything works out there, he has an amazing 4 years, and ends up being one of the many G5 kids to make the NFL. He's definitely got enough talent to put on a show there. Who knows, maybe we see him in the O&G at some point down the road. Again, all the best.

Yes assuming they aren’t JAGs. We’ve had too many of those over the past 2 decades.

This is great news. Who cares if he comes in as an OL or DT. Bring him in and plug him where he fits best. I was wondering if he would be able to practice with the team in 2020 if he's not a student at Miami? Can he take online courses and still walkon? Or does he have to be with the team...

Both are good schools. But they are NOTHING like the Miami environment. Rutgers is still predominantly a commuter college, BC is a Jesuit-run Catholic university located in Newton, MA (suburbs of Boston, about 5-10 miles out of the city). A Miami kid would be a fish out of water at either.

Willie Moise (going to Coastal Carolina)

Presumably he'd qualify to enroll, but the NCAA wouldn't clear him to play. So BC and other P5 programs may be willing to given him a 2020 scholarship and redshirt him, like we did with C Williams and Huff, as long as they aren't at their class or team caps. We're at our class cap (at least I...

Kayone, if you have any influence with the family, and IF Diaz is offering a 2021 scholarship that starts in January, you need to sway him to stay home. BC is an amazing school, don't get me wrong. But he would almost certainly be miserable there. Rutgers is even worse, they don't even have a...

Yes, but in both those cases Miami still honored their scholarship, as they did with Huff. Looks like they aren't doing that with Moise. ... I mean, if they can get him into a prep for a semester then give him an early 2021 offer so he can join the team in the spring, it really wouldn't have a...

The staff should have been all over this. This is a fck up if they didn't already work out a soft landing for Moise before closing on Walker. It's a mistake that we didn't stick by Moise who stayed committed to us for two years, and we give it to a kid who flipped twice and has questionable...

Yeah, I don't think you string this kid along until June is what I'm saying. He's been loyal, we need to show him some respect. Take the weekend to search for a GT OT, fine. But if no one bites, we should send that LOI next week.

We took Cam Williams and Huff under those conditions. Unless there's a plug-and-play starting OT to be had somewhere, this kid needs an offer letter. At the VERY LEAST, have Stroud personally find him a prep school to grey shirt at for a semester, and personally move him in like Rumph did with...

They won't drop him. He's all Cane, and Miami has held on to his scholarship this whole time when they could have pulled the trigger on some GTs earlier on.

to add to this question, some were saying that even if Moise had the final class counter for 2020, we could start using 2021 class counters with grad transfers in May or June. Is that true?

DT or OG, whatever. We need fast twitch linemen who can move their opponents backwards, and this kid is one.

They started adding a minimum SAT to the requirements because they caught high schools giving athletes passing grades just to get them into college. And the football programs didn't care. I think it was in the 80s that the NCAA added the SAT requirement as a way of seeing if the kids had learned...
