ESPN: 'They're in a deep, deep hole': Inside the 6-year unraveling of Florida State football

Truth. Most of what LeBastard wrote about in his first series of articles was "old information", that is, stuff he knew from when he was a UM undergrad and the players "trusted him" because Dannyboy was a classmate and "friend". None of that was "super-reporter" Dan LeBastard going after the...

Right. I would have LOVED to have seen Yahoo set up a separate webpage for every SEC player who has even been ALLEGED to have taken extra benefits from an SEC booster. They would have broken the internet.

I don't think Willie gets paid the prior-employer buyouts. That money goes to USF and Oregon. The only windfall Willie got was the F$U buyout of his contract. Now, did it COST a lot for F$U? Absolutely.

Good point at the end, there. There is, literally, an NCAA violation case that punished a school and a female athlete for using UNIVERSITY WATER FROM A UNIVERSITY HOSE to wash her car, while it is OK to spend THIRTY-FOUR MILLION DOLLARS to induce a coach to break TWO consecutive employment...

EXACTLY. Why does Miami have to define itself by "our opponents", when just about every team that plays Miami treats our game like "their Super Bowl". Be the best Miami we can be, and everyone else will be gunning for us, not the other way around.

Sure, it would be helpful for the ACC to have better quality teams. And I have LONG argued for two good P5 OOC games EVERY YEAR, while the pvssies on the board have told us that "all we need" is one good P5 OOC game per year. But I don't care how good or how bad our opponents are, we have to...

All of those things may be true. I still hate F$U and I still want F$U to fail in every possible way.

ESPN: 'They're in a deep, deep hole': Inside the 6-year unraveling of Florida State football

Stop being soft and dopey. Does UNC need to tell recruits "we define ourselves by beating NC State"? Whether our "historical rival" is good or not is not the definition of our program. Whether we win all of our games is the definition of our program. Besides our next-most-frequent rival is...

The misinformation needs to stop. There is no "allocation" of money. If Beta Blake was a decent AD, he would be able to fund-raise with the best of them. Funds for facilities come from CAPITAL campaigns, not operating revenue. Most, if not all, of the athletic scholarships are endowed. Stop...

If all those games had taken place against a **** good Clemson team, you still would have fallen in love with Miami.

Right. I'd be fine with a perennial Top 25 Syracuse program and perennial Top 25 Boston College program, as well as Miami cleaning up in SoFla recruiting. That would be a fine trade-off for F$U being the doormat of the ACC.

Why do we have pvssified fans who act like we "need" F$U to be good? I would much more prefer OTHER teams in the ACC to become better programs. I have no problem with F$U finishing dead last in the ACC every year.

WTF? "We have a top-20 public university to sell." On what planet is F$U a "Top 20 public university"? I guess they figure that if the Gaytors can claim to be "Top 10", then nobody is fact-checking.
