I think shortening the regular season makes a football equivelent of the Not In Tournament series possible.

What about shortening the scheduled season and then if a school does not qualify, they play an additional 3 post season bowl games. That way you don't get fewer games.

So Miami only gets in if we win the Coastal. Fair.

My guess this will mean the end of the cupcake game and possibly of all OOC games.
