    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

So would I. If he plateaus, then you consider it. I'll take the wear and tear of T&F with what it pays all day at that level not thinking twice about another sport.

With NIL, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to now.
  3. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

No, signed with Adidas at the young age of 16. My bad maybe. I'm not sure who his other sponsor or endorsement deals are with if that's what you meant.

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

You just really never know. People hit a wall all the time, get injured, try adding or tweaking and they're never the same. Such a fine line in those 100ths. He could try and add strength and go backwards or forwards, grab an injury, etc. Right now though, he's that dude as you say.

He was also 8 to 10 years older than this young man. Michael Johnson is the man. Fastest 400 split it all time in the 4x400 and the historic 200 / 400 double, WR's, etc. We don't know what this young buck will do tomorrow, let alone half his age down the road.

https://olympics.nbcsports.com/2022/04/30/erriyon-knighton-200-meters-record-usain-bolt/ 19.49 in his latest 200. 2nd fastest American ever behind the great Michael Johnson. Fastest time in the world since 2012 Bolt in the Olympics. Insanity. I can't believe how fast his times are...

I have to ask ad well, but I'd this the worst USA uniform ever?

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

Fun race with a good feel winner. DeGrasse, not sure how anyone could dislike this dude. So happy for Kenny. He really came out of nowhere onto the scene. He's a quiet guy who is overshadowed by Lyles. So humble and I was thrilled to see him get the silver. The kid, no shame in 4th...

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

That 400m hurdles last night is up there as well. They both knocked so much time off the world record it isn't even funny. Michael Johnson had some crazy moments. Also, let's not forget the guy he and everyone else is chasing. Usain Bolt. I'm hesitant to compare anyone to him, but **** this...
  10. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

Yup, for sure. When he gets better out of the blocks and learns to run the turn better, the sky is the limit with this kid. I also think strength came into factor in that he had to press coming out of the turn. That and of course having to go three races in three days where he couldn't take...

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

Yup, running a 19.84. A U20 (under 20) world record. He's now run two times faster than Bolt ever did with 2 and a half years to improve the mark. Bolt U20 record was 19.93. First high schooler to make the 200m team since 1972. Wish he pushed in that semi, that was a 19.7 something if he...
  12. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

I was thinking 19.7 after that first round, but he's set to run a 19.6. Crazy, just a lack of words for that at 17.
  13. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

He's literally the biggest thing in T&F for the US since I don't even know when. He has a chance to set the U20 world record this next heat or in the finals if he makes it. He's got it in his ****nal, at least he did yesterday shutting it down early.

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

Watch out for Jaylen Slade at IMG Academy. Him and Knighton are the two most promising youngsters in the country. Right there with them is Laird at LSU and Boling at UGA. This race Knighton barely beats Slade with a wind aided 9.99 100m. Slade came back and beat him with a 10.04 to...

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

https://sports.yahoo.com/erriyon-knighton-17-old-pro-195916070.html No doubt, kid is a beast. The way they define those records is odd, but at the same age, Knighton is faster. Bolt can take the lead back if Knighton doesn't run 19.93 by September (whatever the date of his birthday is in...
  16. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

He could compete in the Olympics right now, if he could make the US Team. Would love to have this kid, but of he does in fact continue football, a big part of that decision will be the track program. That all but eliminates us unfortunately.
  17. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

I hear ya. I just see those times, with two track seasons to go and ****. 200 future and once he learns to stay low in his drive phase out of the blocks, that 100 time will drop like a lead weight. Kids got a future for sure.
  18. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

You can't say unequivocally that he'll make more playing in the NFL versus on the track. He becomes the next big thing in T&F, he could easily make more on the track with far less wear and tear on his body unless he was also top of his game in the NFL. That 20.33 at 16, that's out of this...
  19. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

Just stop, he's not playing football for much longer, let alone college. That 200 time all but guarantees he turns pro in T&F anytime he wants. 15 or 16, geez, get out of here with that. Crazy. His 100, wait until he gets some professional help on his start. He has sensational top end speed...
  20. SayWhat

    2022 WR Erriyon Knighton

He's a guy you want on speed alone. With those times, I would think a powerhouse track and field program would certainly be our biggest competition. The notoriety of Olympic quality T&F athletes is huge for schools. Really wanted Schwartz, but knew our T&F qualifications would be out downfall...
