ND isn’t stressing not getting a 1st round bye at all. Like you said, they don’t play a champ game so it balances out anyway. 12 team playoff **** near guarantees them a spot almost every year and they can stay Indy. They’re sitting pretty.

I don’t hold the people running FSU in high esteem, but I can’t believe they’d be doing all this without knowing they have a home in the B1G or SEC.

FSU isn't going anywhere. If they had a clear path/plan to exit the ACC, they wouldn't be running their mouths so much. I wouldn't be surprised if they put out a statement like "we are actively exploring options to leave the ACC", which of course isn't saying anything.

This is what I don't get. If we choose to believe the genetics guy and the Big Ten is coming after Florida State and it's only a matter of time, why are getting so much talk from FSU? If they have a clear path to the B1G seems to me they wouldn't be saying much and trying to create a narrative.

You have to think long-term. Even if we had to take a lesser share to get in, it pays off in the future. Lack of foresight and not reading the tea leaves is how the ACC got themselves in this mess in the first place.

Seriously doubt that. It might be the first time it's trickling out publicly, but the notion of leaving the ACC isn't new and the colleges have a ton of lawyers looking at every angle.

ND joining the ACC was a pipe dream months ago. It's downright laughable now. Maybe they could offer ND 90% of all tv monies, first dibs on any ACC bowl spot, and nothing but home games.

ACC going bargain hunting. Sad. I love the, "they thought about expanding" line. That's like being at the reception of a solid chick's wedding saying you had a chance to date her.

That's why the ACC is fooked. There's no one left to add worth anything.
