Somebody get Ruiz on the phone, this is the one we've been waiting for. L recruited this dude pretty heavily out of high school, and again when he left Nova. Would give us exactly the kind of ball handling and playmaking the roster lacks. We'd be a little small in the backcourt, but we'll survive.

Dude sucked when we played RU last year, but rolling out a team with 2 40% 3 point shooters in the backcourt would be pretty nasty.

That assumes everyone stays healthy. We've been pretty lucky health wise the last 2 years, but I wouldn't count on that continuing. I think we need at least 11, if not 12, just in case. If a couple of guys at the bottom of the roster transfer out at the end of the year, so be it.

The Herald ran a piece talking about him without directly saying we were interested. It was pretty strange, but I'm assuming they were trying to imply that we were interested without actually coming out and saying it. Not sure why they bother with the obfuscation though.

ACC's lost several good players to the portal, doesn't look like its gained any (yet at least). Probably not a great sign.

Good player that we recruited in high school. Too much FSU stink for me though, so I say pass. Not sure he's got enough bulk to really hold up at the 4 anyway.

I'm also an Arizona alum, and was thrilled that this dude split. Not sure where his reputation of being great came from, but he can't play, straight up. He probably finishes his career at a mid-major.

Curbelo in the portal too. Slick Rick's running off the entire team, not that I blame him. Way too much talent on St. Johns last year to not win anything.

L was asked about that at a press conference, and said they're technically seniors, so they were honored on senior night. Didn't say they weren't coming back, and the way the staff is recruiting (ie, they aren't) suggests they'll be back.
