NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

One organization picking in the top 10 is shying away from drafting players who opted out of playing last season, according to one person familiar with the team’s thinking. A senior executive for another team said he has no definitive stance on players who opted out but has seen some of those...

NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

This isn't about Pro Day adjustments. I'm not doing that. RAS is down slightly this year which doesn't indicate there's a testing bump. The Pro Day time adjustments is a misnomer based on a track record of better athletes testing well at the combine then skipping those same events at pro days...

NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

Waddle is a ballwinner too though. He's already shown he can track and adjust to Tua's errant hospital balls. Don't fall for the unofficial Pro Day times. Some of them are way off and most are at least slightly optimistic. This is a frame-by-frame time for Chase: Pitts 4.53 with build-up...

Meyer all but said they're taking him. I was obviously exaggerating but yeah Falcons need a TE badly. I was convinced Jaeden Graham would beat out Hurst last year.

I'd take Pitts #1 overall if I was installing a wide zone scheme and my TE was that bum Hayden Hurst. I've never understood the hype with him although I appreciate his personal story.

NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

Heard on a podcast that the rumor is the Phins are targeting Waddle with that 6th pick. My question is will they take him over Chase and/or Pitts? If Bengals trade down both could be available there. It kinda makes sense if you're building around Tua and running a ton of boot action, RPOs and...

NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

That's a silly aphorism, but regardless I just showed that overpaying to get a specific player (non-QB) is almost certain to be a poor transaction. NFL teams are just generally not good at identifying singular players out of a smaller group, hence why it's almost always better to trade down.

NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

1st trade - outstanding 2nd trade - very bad, but not as bad as the 1st trade was good. Historically the only big move-up into the top-8 for a non-QB that actually worked out was the Julio Jones trade. Dolphins shoulda stayed at 12.

smokescreen? or am I wrong that Chase is the pick. Interesting...

NFL Fins make multiple 1st round trades

I don't like this series of moves. I was fine with it when it was 3 1sts and a 3rd for #3 overall because you have optionality. If Tua is a competent starter you have a treasure trove to build around him. If he's not then you have the ammo to trade for Russ. Now it's looking like Tua, Chase, a...
