    Production isn't what it used to be. That's not unique to rap though. I listen to music for music, not lyrics or "hard" ness of delivery.

    I might be missing this analogy but late 80s had thrash metal too. If I have to choose between mumbletrap or feminine mumblecrooning hip-hop I choose the RATM return tour. Easy there 1990 here I grew up listening to Pac, BIG, Nas and Jay-Z. These are late 90s early 2000s kids listening to this...

    >Rap >2010-present Does not compute. Rap died for me in the late 2000s. If kids like incoherent mumbling and dissonant production (or rappers that parody said qualities) that's their prerogative I suppose.
