I think it will because you will have more 2 loss, maybe even 3 loss teams in the playoff. Every game won’t matter, then. If an SEC team drops 2 games, so what? They’ll still make it in.

I agree. 8, I think, would be fine. But 12 teams just dilutes the regular season, which used to be the most meaningful of any sport.
